Router A, Router B, Router C, and Router D are AR500s and connected through GE optical
interfaces, constitute an open-ring network, and connect to the aggregation layer ring
network composed of monitoring subcenters.

Router A and Router B are connected through FE interfaces that provide power outage
survival, Router C and Router D are connected through FE interfaces that provide power
outage survival, and Router B and Router C are connected to carrier STAs. SEP runs on
the open-ring network and ensures fast switching of data channels between the four
AR500s.
