5.2.4.1 Auto Fusion function (AUF)
The AUF function is a special internal algorithm that allows to the instrument to display
automatically, via comparison of the central spot temperature and the remaining part of the
screen, the optimum level of mixing percentage between IR and visible part of the image.
This allows the saving of better quality pictures even in low-contrast conditions (object
temperature similar to the same of the surrounding environment). This function can be
used with Automatic or Manual image adjustment (see § 5.2.7).
Automatic adjustment

Manual adjustment
With instrument in Manual adjustment mode (symbol
at display), the AUF function
allows to view the IR image with the colors of the selected palette in the points with
temperature range within the lower and upper level interval and view visible image in the
points outside the same interval.
Fig. 23: Visualization of image with AUF function in Manual adjustment
In Fig.22 the instrument shows the IR visualization with "Iron" palette (see § 5.2.5) in the
points of the image with temperatures between 22.0°C and 37.0°C and visible image in the
points outside of this range.
