Some troubleshooting tips:
•
Restart your PC and see if the problem recurs.
•
If you have a software problem, refer to the software documentation or help
facility. If the problem persists, contact the software provider’s support.
•
Run HP DiagTools. You can create a hardware profile of your PC (Support
Ticket) that can be faxed or mailed to support. See page 29 for information
on using DiagTools.
•
Visit the HP support Web site (
www.hp.com/go/vectrasupport
) to
see whether this is a known problem.
•
Update your PC’s BIOS (Basic Input/Output System). The latest BIOS for
your PC and instructions on updating the BIOS are available from HP’s
support Web site at:
www.hp.com/go/vectrasupport
.
•
Record the details of the problem so that you can describe it accurately. See
page 34.
•
Think of anything you may have changed recently on your PC.
•
If possible, have your system up and running and close by when you call.
•
Contact your HP dealer, or contact HP support outside of peak times (mid-
morning and early evening). This should ensure your problem is dealt with
as quickly as possible. See page 34 for more information.
