• For SRM and XP Virtualization Adapter remote configuration
On Windows where SRM is performing and UNIX where XP RAID Manager is performing, execute
the following procedures.
1. Collect the SRM log file on Windows on both protection and recovery site
Collect the following SRM log file including the error messages of “[XP Virtualization Adapter]”
and “SRM ERROR messages” and XP RAID Manager command error log:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\ Application Data\VMware\VMware Site Recovery
Manager\Logs\vmware*.log
2. Collect the Outputs of the following command on HORCMINST=XX (instance# for XP Virtual-
ization Adapter) on remot UNIX
env
raidqry -l
raidqry -g
pairdisplay −IH −g ??? −CLI −l −fwe (where ??? is a group name shown
by “raidqry −g”)
raidscan −IH −p port(i.e. cl1-a-0) −CLI (port where connecting to
ESX sever)
If XP Business Copy is installed:
pairdisplay −g ??? −CLI −l −few −m cas (where ??? is a group name
shown by “raidqry −g”)
Error code for multiple errors
XP Virtualization Adapter defines an error code using a 32 bit OR flag so multiple error can be
identified. Error are described in following table.
For example:
[RMSRA][Sun Aug 3 16:25:56 2008]: [command_main] : 'testFailover_start' failed with
error(0x00002000) on arrayId(64015).
