Troubleshooting

Error Recovery Procedures

Table 7–1 lists ERPs for errors reported on the GUI touch screen of the library. This
list includes only those procedures that can be safely performed by an end user. The

StorageWorks MSL5000 series library Maintenance and Service Guide

includes

additional procedures that can be performed by a qualified service technician.

Table 7–1: Error Recovery Procedures

ERP Code

Procedure/Description

Cycle power to the library using the Power option on
the GUI touch screen. Wait 30 seconds to power up
again.

Turn off power to the library and inspect connectors
and cables.

Invalid operation. Select parameters correctly and try
again.
