Click the Virtual Devices tab.

Select Virtual Media.

Use the Virtual Media applet to select the local diskette or image file and connect
the Virtual Disk to the server blade.

Use the iLO Virtual Power Button feature to reboot the server blade.

After the server blade boots, follow the normal network installation procedure for
an operating system.
SAN Configuration Overview
The ProLiant BL20p G3 server blade delivers FC support for SAN implementations
and clustering capabilities. The ProLiant BL20p G3 server blade uses an optional FC
adapter for redundant SAN connectivity and is optimized for HP StorageWorks. In
addition, the server blade is also compatible with certain third-party SAN products.

For optimal SAN connectivity, verify that:

The HP ProLiant BL20p G3 server blade has the FC adapter installed, and that it
is correctly installed in the server blade enclosure. Refer to the HP ProLiant
BL20p Generation 3 Dual Port Fibre Channel Adapter Installation Instructions

A Fibre-capable interconnect is installed in the enclosure. Refer to the
documentation that shipped with the interconnect option
•
The enclosure management module firmware is up-to-date. Refer to the ProLiant
BL p-Class support site on

•
The server blade is properly cabled to a supported SAN
•
SAN storage drivers are loaded. Refer to supporting white papers and to
www.hp.com/servers/rdp.
