Menu Basics

Introduction

The HP ProLiant BL p-Class GbE2 Interconnect Switch CLI is used for viewing switch
information and statistics. In addition, the administrator can use the CLI for performing all
levels of GbE2 Interconnect Switch configuration.

To make the CLI easy to use, the various commands have been logically grouped into a series
of menus and submenus. Each menu displays a list of commands and/or submenus that are
available, along with a summary of what each command will do. Below each menu is a
prompt where you can enter any command appropriate to the current menu.

This chapter describes the

Main Menu

commands, and provides a list of commands and

shortcuts that are commonly available from all the menus within the CLI.

The Main Menu

The

Main Menu

displays after a successful connection and login. The following table shows

the

Main Menu

for the administrator login. Some features are not available under the user

login.
