Replacing a Battery Pack

Ä

CAUTION: 

To prevent loss of work when removing a battery pack that 

is the only power source, turn off the notebook or initiate hibernation. (If 
you initiate hibernation, do not begin the following procedure until the 
power/standby lights are turned off, indicating that hibernation is 
complete.)

Removing a Battery Pack

To remove a battery pack:

1. Turn the notebook upside down.

2. Slide the battery release latch

 to release the battery pack.

3. Pivot the battery pack away from the notebook

 and remove 

it from the battery bay
