Keep the straight-edge in full contact across the back surfaces of both
pulleys.
Slide the motor until the correct tension is achieved in the belt. See Figure 9.

Check the belt tension while maintaining pulley alignment by pressing down
on the middle of the belt with a force of about 1 kg (2 lb). See Figure 10.
The belt will displace about 10 mm (1/2 inch) when the correct tension is
achieved.
Caution:
Ensure correct belt tension for proper pump operation. Too much tension
damages the shaft bearings. Too little tension causes the belt to slip and wear.

Tighten the four motor mounting screws using the 13 mm open ring spanner
(P/N MTZ-1173-01).
12.
Tighten the two inset screws in the pump pulley.
