Before removing the I/O board, follow these steps:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (see
Preparation for disassembly on page 41
2.
Remove the bottom cover (see

Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see
Remove the I/O board:
1.
Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the I/O board (1).
2.
Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (2) that secure the board to the
computer.
3.
Remove the I/O board from the computer (3).
4.
To remove the USB door, lift up on the inside of the door to remove it (1).
NOTE:
System board USB door shown. The removal procedure is the same for
both USB doors.
