10 Once your computer has restarted, you must configure
your Internet Service Provider’s phone number and other
details before being able to access the internet.
Click the
Start
button then click
Programs
Accessories Dial-Up Networking
.
11 Windows tells you the phonebook is empty and asks you if
you want to add an entry. Click
OK
. This launches the
Phonebook Entry Wizard.
If this message is not displayed, click
New
to launch the
Phonebook Entry Wizard.
12 Enter the name of the phonebook entry (in this case, your
Service Provider) and click
Next
.
13 In the next window, select the
I am calling the
Internet
check box. The two other options depend on the
Service Provider chosen. Consult your Service Provider for
this information. Click
Next
.
14 Enter the phone number of your Service Provider and click
Next
.
15 Click
Finish
.
16 In
Dial-Up Networking
, click
Close
