1.1 About This Product

Windows HPC Server 2008 (HPCS) provides a high-performance computing platform that
supports an integrated software stack, which includes the operating system, job scheduler, and
management tools.

1.2 Benefits and Features

HPCS provides enhanced monitoring, system health, and reporting with built-in diagnostic tools
to create and manage groups of resources and failover options.

HPCS has been tested on HP Cluster Platform and Cluster Platform Express, which offer the
flexibility of a custom solution with the simplicity, reliability, and value of a preconfigured,
factory-built cluster.
