-c
Save files to the custom overlay
-t <file> Read files to be saved from a tar file.
-z
Zero the overlay area.
-f
Do not confirm with user and do not warn if saving failed.
Exit code can be examined to determine success or failure.
<dir_or_file>
Save only the named file, or save the named
directory to the overlay. Contents of directories must be created
with zmnt
.
-l
List files that would be written. Do not flash.
EXAMPLES
To
zsync
only the hosts file:
cd /etc
zsync hosts
If you previously created a snapshot of an overlay to a tar file using
zmnt
,
zmnt –t overlay.tar
You can use
zsync
to restore the overlay on the switch directly from the tar file,
zsync –t overlay.tar
The restored overlay will be loaded upon the next reboot.
