LAN Address Configuration screen

LAN address parameter definitions

DTC IP Address

Enter a value in the form xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx where xxx is a decimal number from 0
through 255. The address cannot be 0.0.0.0 or 255.255.255.255 which are reserved
addresses. Assign a unique IP address to each DTC. (For more information on the
DTC IP address, see Chapter 5).

DTC Node Name

Enter a name consisting of three parts, each with a maximum of 16 characters,
separated by periods (.) and in the following form:

nodename.domain.organization

For simplicity, the DTC name and the

nodename

portion of the DTC node name are

often the same name. For example, the

dtcname

could be mydtc1 and the DTC

node name could be

mydtc1.mysys.mycorp
