System
Diagnostics

detect

failure
in
the

failure.

catastrophic
failure
is
a
failure

renders
the
instrumen

usable.
A
secondary
purp ose
of
System
Diagnostics
is
to
determine
if
an

soft
failures

o ccurred
and

diagnose,

dule

soft
failure

soft
failure

a
failure
