Microsoft Networking Settings page
), this page is displayed
automatically when the administrator selects Admin Accounts.
Caution: If all local administrator passwords are forgotten, the only way to gain access to the appliance through
a local administrator account is to
to factory defaults (using the front panel). After the
appliance is reset to factory defaults, all configuration information will be lost including network settings and
printers, and the appliance will possibly revert to a previous version of the firmware.
To access the Admin Accounts page, follow these steps:
Log on to the web interface. (The default is "admin" for the username and "admin" for the password.)

On the menu under General, click Admin Accounts. The Admin Accounts page is displayed.

Admin Accounts - Local Accounts Page
The Local Accounts page lists all local administrator accounts for the appliance. Local accounts are stored on
the appliance and are independent from domain accounts. There must always be at least one local administrator
account on the appliance.
When an administrator accesses the appliance using a local account, an administrator name and password must
be supplied for the appliance. (This username and password are passed over the network in cleartext.)
Note: In order to use NT native tools without NT domain authentication enabled (on the
), the administrator logged onto the PC must have a local administrator account with the same
name and password as their domain account.
