4 Orienting the Components
The kit hardware consists of a pair of rails and a pair of left and right retainer
brackets, which are described in the following sections.
4.1 Rail
The two rails are identical, and one rail is shown in Figure 1. The rails are
mounted on the rack columns by the four holes in the vertical surface identified by
callout 1. The rail’s horizontal surface (callout 2) supports the interconnect chassis.

4.2 Retainer Brackets
The retainer brackets are shown in Figure 2.

When attaching the brackets, be aware that their designation of left and right is
in reference to their location on the rear of the switch chassis, not in reference to
the rack columns. Figure 2 shows the following details, which are referenced
in the installation procedure:
1.
Threaded inserts (callout 1).
2.
Holes for the screws that attach the bracket to the interconnect chassis
(callout 2).
