The washbasin will only have fully hardened after 1 month. Only a
soapy solution may be used for maintenance purposes during this
initial month. Only after this period may the usual cleaners be used.
Never use cleaners that have abrasive agents such as “CIF”.
The vanity top will not be able to withstand aggressive agents such
as acids, ammonia, unblocking agents (they contain aggressive
(caustic) soda), hair-dye, bleach and hot water hotter than 60° C.
If you regularly treat the vanity top with a good quality car wax,
for example, 3 times a year, the top will be polished and small
scratches can be smoothed away. This will also reinforce the water
repellent nature of the top.
Should your washbasin still be damaged after installation due to
specific conditions, the smaller scratches can be smoothed away by
sanding using wet sandpaper (approx. 1200 grit) where the scratch
can be found and by subsequently polishing with car wax.
