Operating states
The following operating states of the battery are possible:
Operation (Active):
All functions and data communication with the battery inverter are
active.
Off (Inactive):
The battery store is switched off by pulling the battery connecting cable. The
CAN communication is stopped and the BMS interrupts the DC link to the battery inverter in
the charging and discharging direction of current. The display unit cannot be activated. No
current can be drawn from the battery. This state is suitable for storing or decommissioning
the battery system.
Note:
For specialists: By pulling the cable attached to the service interface the battery system is also
switched off.
Deep Discharge Protection:
As soon as a specific battery cell voltage has been reached,
the BMS issues a warning. If the BMS is restarted before the expiry of one day during the
presence of the warning, the BMS detects the error "Deep discharge" and shuts down. In
order to prevent damage to the battery, the BMS shuts down when a certain critical battery
cell voltage is undershot.
Note:
The BMS switched the system automatically to the inactive mode if the batteries are threatened
by deep discharge. Thus, the BMS ensures that adequate residual energy remains in the battery
in order to initiate the next recharging operation.
