WARNING
Lack of protective equipment
Serious injuries or even death
• Use only undamaged protective
equipment.
• Wear ear protectors during all
operating work steps.
• Wear protective goggles during
the marked maintenance work
steps.
• Wear protective gloves
during all work steps for
commissioning, operation,
cleaning, maintenance or during
replacement of components.
The housing of the setting tool must
not be opened. Opening the setting
tool housing will void the warranty.
5 .1 EXTEND WARRANTY / REGISTER
SETTING TOOL
Registering the setting tool online
extends the warranty to 24 months
and software updates are provided
free of charge by e-mail.
1. At a computer, call up the website
www.honsel.de/warranty/
2. Click Extended warranty.

A form is displayed.
3. Enter the requested data in the form.
4. Confirm the inputs with the Check button.

The inputs are checked.
5. A confirmation e-mail is sent.
»
The setting tool has been registered.
5 .2 SOFTWARE UPDATE
If the setting tool has been
registered online, software updates
are provided by e-mail.
If the setting tool has not been
registered online, software updates
are carried out at HONSEL Service
on our premises.
Precondition:
• The setting tool has been registered
(chapter 5.1) and a new software version has
been provided by e-mail.
1. Connect the USB adapter with inserted SD
card to a computer.
2. Save the new software version to the SD card.
Do not rename the file.
3. Press the battery release button and remove
the battery from the setting tool.
4. Insert the SD card into the SD card slot on the
setting tool.
5. Insert the battery into the setting tool again.
6. Hold the “Arrow left” and “Arrow right” keys
pressed and press the trigger at the same time.
7. Press the trigger and hold for 2 seconds.
8. Release the arrow keys and the trigger again.

The status of the software update is
displayed on the screen.

As soon as the software update has been
completed, the setting tool goes to standby.
9. The SD card can either remain in the setting
tool or be removed from the setting tool.
10. Press the OK key.

The software has been updated.
5 .3 MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Trouble-free operation of the machine is not
assured without the maintenance operations
described.
