RP-2002 Series Manual —

Installation

Installation of Optional Modules

Maximum Coil Resistance: 14.6 ohms
Maximum allowable wire resistance between panel and trip coil: 3 ohms
Municipal Box wiring can leave the building

Remote Station Service (NFPA 72 Remote Station Fire Alarm Systems) - Intended 

for connection to a polarity reversal circuit or a Remote Station receiving unit having 
compatible ratings:

Maximum load for each circuit: 10 mA
Reverse polarity output voltage: 24 VDC
Remote Alarm and Remote Trouble wiring can leave the building

Before installing the module, place the disconnect switch to the down (disconnect) position to pre-
vent accidental activation of the municipal box. Note that a Disconnect LED will illuminate after 
the module is installed in the FACP. In addition, the System Trouble indicator will turn on to indi-
cate the Disconnect condition. 

2.6.3  ANN-SEC Option Card

The ANN-SEC option card allows for a secondary ANN-BUS. Install the ANN-SEC as follows.

1.

Remove the chassis mounting screw to the right of TB3 and replace it with the supplied 
0.5” x 4-40 male-female standoff.

2.

Install header J1 on the ANN-SEC into J13 on the main circuit board.

application using reverse polarity of a supervisory signal, refer to the Appendix titled “FACP with 
Keltron” on page 147.
