Mounting instructions
The fixture bore pattern of the IDENT-KEY operating unit allows mounting the operating unit directly
above a flush-mounted box or a hollow wall box (Ø60 mm), or directly above an empty pipe outlet (see
drawing). A cable reserve must be considered either in the box or in the distributor if the operating unit
has to be dismounted for wall papering or plastering works.

Installation with
mounting base
For outdoor mounting we recommend you to use the enclosed mounting base 022196 or
022197.
When installation with a mounting base the connecting cable can be passed either on the
side or vertically for surface mounting.
Between the individual IDENT-KEY operating units a minimum distance of 1 m in all
directions has to be observed. In addition the minimum distance to parallel power cables
stated in the VDE prescriptions has to be observed.
The IDENT-KEY operating units should not be mounted directly on metal since this
reduces the reading range, or impedes reading.
After the mounting the enclosed adhesive decoration foil has to be attached on the IDENT-KEY
operating unit. The decoration foil labels the LED-indicators and covers the fixture screws.
