• In MANUAL mode, white balance is adjusted
manually.
• In PUSH LOCK mode, press the joystick to lock the
white balance settings as the current white balance
settings.
Backlight
When strong backlighting is present, subjects in the
foreground appear silhouetted. Backlight
compensation (BLC) increases the brightness of the
scene so that foreground subjects are properly
exposed.
Highlight compensation (HLC) masks strong light
sources (such as automobile headlights) to reveal
details that were obscured by the light’s flare effect.
In the setup menu, move the cursor to BACKLIGHT ,
and then select BLC , HLC , or OFF .
LEVEL Set the white balance level to a
value between
0 and 255 .
