If the engine does not start within 5 seconds, turn the
ignition OFF and wait 10 seconds before trying to start
the engine again for recovery of battery voltage.

Extended fast idling and revving the engine can

Make sure the transmission to Neutral (

indicator comes on).

(Using the start button)

Press the start button with the throttle
completely closed. Release the start button
as soon as the engine starts.

(Using the Kickstarter)

Lightly depress the kickstarter until
resistance is felt.
Then let the kickstarter return to the top of
its stroke.
With the throttle closed, operate the
kickstarter. Kick from the top of the stroke
through to the bottom with a rapid,
continuous motion.
