Fluids
Fuses
Make sure the headlight, brakelight, taillight, and turn signals are
working properly.
Check condition, adjust slack, and lubricate as needed (page ).

Freeplay
Make sure you have a full supply of spare fuses.
Check the major fasteners and tighten as needed.
Nuts & Bolts
Check the freeplay of the clutch lever (page ), throttle grip (page
), and the front brake lever (page ) and rear brake pedal.
Check the levels of the engine oil (page ), coolant (page ),
clutch fluid (page ) and brake fluid (page ). Add the correct
fluid as necessary, and investigate the cause of any low fluid level.
Check the air pressure with a gauge and add air if needed (page ).
Examine the tread for wear (page ).
Look closely for nails, embedded objects, cuts, and other types of
damage (page
). Roll your motorcycle so you can inspect the
entire surface.
Check the condition of the wheels.
