Troubleshooting
Symptom
Engine does not
start with the
transmitter.
Probable cause
The lock/start button is not pressed within 2
seconds of pressing the engine button.
Remedy
Push the lock/start button within 2 seconds
after pushing the engine button.

Replace the battery.
(Use lithium battery CR2032.)

The range of the
transmitter has
degraded over
time.
The doors are unlocked.
The transmitter battery is discharged.
Open the front door (either the driver-side door
or the passenger-side door) or turn on the
ignition switch with the key.

The system is in inhibition mode.
The keyless access remote is inside the
vehicle. Exit the vehicle and take the keyless access
remote with you.
