If a Tyre Goes Flat

Temporarily Repairing a Flat Tyre

Turn the air compressor on to inflate the
tyre.

u

The compressor starts injecting sealant
and air into the tyre.

u

When the sealant injection is complete,
continue to add air.

Inflate the tyre to the specified air
pressure.
Front: 210 kPa (30 psi)/Rear: 200 kPa (29
psi)

12.

Turn off the air compressor.

u

Check the air pressure gauge on the air
compressor.

u

If overinflated, adjust the exhaust valve
to slowly remove air from the tyre.
When removing air, be careful not to let
the injected sealant spill out.

13.

Unplug the kit from the accessory power socket.

14.

Remove the air compressor hose.

u

Be careful not to let the sealant spill out. Wipe away any spills immediately
using a cloth.

15.

Store the temporary tyre repair kit in the tailgate.

u

Do not remove the bottle from the air compressor.

16.

Apply the repair notification label to the flat surface of the wheel.

u

The wheel surface must be clean to ensure the label adheres properly.

Injecting Sealant and Air

NOTICE

Do not operate the temporary tyre repair kit
compressor for more than 15 minutes. The
compressor can overheat and become permanently
damaged.

Until the sealant injection is complete, the pressure
shown on the pressure gauge will appear higher than
actual. After the sealant injection is complete the
pressure will drop and then begin to rise again as the
tyre is inflated with air. This is normal. To accurately
measure the air pressure using the gauge, turn the air
compressor off only after the sealant injection is
complete.

If the required air pressure is not reached within 10
minutes, the tyre may be too severely damaged for
the kit to provide the necessary seal and your vehicle
will need to be towed.

The power supply of the air compressor is limited to
your vehicle’s 12-volt DC accessory socket.
