A few points to note before you start setting up the turntables:
1. Do not connect the AC power
2. Read this manual carefully before using the unit and be sure to store the
manual in a safe place for future reference. Should you loose you manual,
you can download a replacement free of charge from www.homemix.com
3. Select the installation location of your unit carefully. Avoid placing it in
direct sunlight, or in locations subject to vibration, excessive dust, heat,
cold or moisture. Keep away from sources of hum such as transformers or
motors.
4. Do not use this system where there are extreme temperatures (below 5
degrees Celsius or above 35 degrees Celsius).
5. Ensure your hands are clean when handling vinyl. Never use a cracked
or warped disc.
6. When disconnecting the power cord from the mains outlet, always grasp
it by the plug, never pull the cord.
7. Do not use force when operating the switches and buttons
8. Before moving the equipment, be sure to disconnect the power cord and
all connecting cables.
9. Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this might
damage the surface, simply use a clean, dry cloth.
10. If the unit malfunctions, do not attempt to repair it yourself as this might
result in damage to the equipment, or electrical shock. Always call the

MAINS PLUG
For your convenience mains plugs with fuses have been fitted to this
equipment. For your safety please observe the following information.
1. Should the fuse fail in the plug, remove the plug from the wall socket and
replace the fuse with a 3 Amp ASTA approved BS 1362 fuse.
2. Never use the plug without the fuse cover fitted. Replacement fuse covers
are available from your local electrical store.
3. If the mains plug is cut off from the cable, rewire the replacement plug in
accordance with the instructions given in this manual.
• The wire which is coloured blue or black must be connected to the terminal
with the letter N or coloured black
• The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal which
is marked with the letter ‘L’ or coloured red. Only a 3 Amp fuse should be
fitted in the plug, or a 5 Amp fuse at the distribution board.
WARNING: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MUST THE LIVE OR
NEUTRAL WIRES BE CONNECTED TO THE EARTH TERMINAL IN A
3-PIN MAINS PLUG.
4. CAUTION: Under no circumstances should the discarded plug be inserted
into a mains socket. To prevent a shock hazard, carefully dispose of the
discarded plug. Do not leave the plug lying around where children might
find it.
CAUTION: DANGEROUS VOLTAGES EXIST INSIDE THIS UNIT. DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO OPEN. NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. REFER
SERVICING TO QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL. DISCONNECT
FROM MAINS SUPPLY WHEN NOT IN USE.
