TROUBLESHOOTING
The following accessories may be ordered by calling Customer Service at 1-800-242-4672:

PROBLEM
CAUSE
SOLUTION
Engine will not start
No fuel in tank
Spark plug shorted or fouled
Spark plug is broken (cracked porcelain
or electrodes broken)
Ignition lead wire shorted, broken, or
disconnected from spark plug
Ignition inoperative
Choke lever is in RUN position
Fill tank.
Replace spark plug.
Replace spark plug.
Replace lead wire or attach to spark plug.
Contact qualified service center.
Move choke lever to START position.
Engine hard to start
Water in gasoline
Weak spark at spark plug
Drain entire system and refill with fresh fuel.
Contact qualified service center.
Engine lacks power
Dirty air filter
Clean or replace air filter.
Output lower than normal
Connections leaking
Throttle lever pushed to the right
Suction hose damaged or leaking
Discharge hose damaged or leaking
Tighten connections.
Push throttle lever to the left.
Replace suction hose.
Replace discharge hose.
If problem persists after trying the above solutions, contact customer service or a qualified service center for assistance.
