Congratulations on your purchase of an ObusForme by HoMedics Backrest Support.
Your backrest support contains an “S”-shaped frame that conforms to the contours of the back to guide the
spine into correct alignment and place you in a proper sitting posture. The ObusForme by HoMedics Lowback
Backrest Support, Wideback Backrest Support and Highback Backrest Support each offer an optional lumbar
support pad, whereas the CustomAIR® Backrest Support features an internal, inflatable lumbar support
system. Lightweight and portable, each backrest support turns any chair into an ergonomic seating system;
they can be used in the home, office, vehicle, or anywhere else you sit.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. How does the Backrest Support fasten to a seat or chair?
A.
The Backrest Support stays in position when the elastic stretch loop is placed or stretched over most chairs
or vehicle seats. The stretch loop is not necessary on couches or sofas. To use the Backrest Support in a car,
truck, or any seat with an opening at the lower back, simply place the bottom ends of the straps through
the bottom opening, place the top straps over the top of the seat and secure with buckles.
Q. Why use a lumbar support pad or an internal inflatable lumbar support system?
A.
Both the lumbar support pad and the internal inflatable lumbar support system provide added support for
the lower spine by filling in the lower inward curve of your back. Lumbar supports can be used for
everyday use as extra lower back support.
Please Note: It is not necessary to use the lumbar support pad or the internal inflatable lumbar support
system with your Backrest Support. If the lumbar support pad or internal inflatable lumbar support system
feels bulky or uncomfortable, just remove it (or deflate if using CustomAir) from the Backrest Support.
