Instructions for Use-Hot & Cold Gel Pack Insert
Cold
Place gel insert in freezer for a minimum of 2.5 hours to achieve optimal temperature and
performance. Insert will remain flexible even when frozen. Remove from freezer and insert in
pocket of foot pillow.
Heat
Stovetop
1. Bring water to a boil and remove from heat.
2. Place gel insert in hot water for 8-10 minutes. Do not boil insert directly.
3. Remove insert using tongs. Use caution as the insert will be very hot.
4. Test temperature of insert by placing it on the underside of your wrist. If insert is too hot, allow
it to cool before using. If it is not hot enough, continue heating in 1 minute intervals until
desired temperature is reached.
5. Place gel insert in pocket of foot pillow.
Microwave
1. Place gel insert in a microwave container filled with water. Heating time may depend on
microwave wattage.
2. Heat gel insert with water in container for 2 minutes (based on 600 Watt microwave).
3. Remove and test before using.
4. If additional heating is required, heat in 15 second intervals until it reaches optimal tempera-
ture.
5. Place gel insert in pocket of Massaging Foot Pillow for use.
Maintenance
TO CLEAN:
Clean only with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Never allow water or any other
liquids to come into contact with the unit.
• Do not immerse in any liquid to clean. To clean the fabric cover, wipe
with damp sponge, using a mild liquid detergent or suds. Wipe surface
with a clean, dry cloth.
• Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene, glass/furniture
polish or paint thinner to clean the massager.
• Do not attempt to repair this unit. There are no user serviceable parts.
For service, send the unit to the HoMedics address listed in the warranty
section.
TO STORE:
Place massager in its box or in a safe, dry, cool place. Avoid contact with
sharp edges or pointed objects which might cut or snag the fabric surface.
