OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• Consider the cooking time. Cook for the shortest period of time indicated and add more as needed. Food
severely overcooked may smoke or ignite.
• Turn foods over once during microwave cooking to quicken the cooking of such foods as chicken and
hamburgers. Large items should be turned over at least once. You have to open the door and the cooking
process will stop.
• Stir soups and rearrange other foods such as meatballs halfway through cooking from top to bottom and from
the center of the container to the outside.
• It is recommended to use the combination mode for thick food pieces. The food will be cooked in microwave
mode first and the grill mode makes it crisp. If you use the grill mode only, the food may char on the surface
but is not completely cooked.
Utensils Guide
• The ideal material for microwaves utensils is transparent to microwaves. It allows energy to pass through the
container and heat the food but not the container.
• Microwaves cannot penetrate metal. Metal utensils will become hot and sparks might occur. So metal
utensils or dishes with metallic trim should not be used inside a microwave oven.
• Do not use recycled paper products when microwave cooking as they may contain small metal fragments
which may cause sparks and/or fires. Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bags before placing bag
in oven.
• Use round and oval containers rather than square ones as food in corners tends to overcook.
• Plastic container can be used in microwave mode but not for grill or combined mode. Metal utensils can be
used in grill mode but never in microwave or combined mode.
