2. Safety Warnings
2.1. General Instructions
Signs used to mark instructions in this manual
Safety instructions in these operating instructions,
which, if not observed, could cause a danger for persons
are marked with the general symbol in accordance with DIN
4844-W 9.
Warnings against electrical voltage are marked with the
safety symbol in accordance with DIN 4844-W 8.
2.2. General Safety Precautions
General regulations and guidelines not mentioned in the
safety warnings retain their validity.
These operating instructions contain basic instructions,
which have to be adhered to during installation, operation
and maintenance. These operating instructions must be
read from mechanic and the operator before installation
and operation of the mixer and have to be kept available at
the operating place of the machine/unit at all times.
Persons who are not familiar with the operating instructions
shall not use this product.
Children and adolescents under age 16 shall not use
the mixer and must keep away from the machine/unit
while it is operational.
The working area has to be closed off expediently
and must adhere to local workplace regulations.
Always use personal safety equipment such as safety
boots, rubber gloves, safety glasses and helmet.
Make sure that the emergency exit from the workplace
is not barricaded.
To prevent suffocation and poisoning caused by ven-
omous gases, make sure that enough oxygen exists at the
workplace.
If you have to work with welding tools or electric tools,
make sure that there is no explosion hazard.
Immediately after repair or maintenance work, all safety
and protection equipment must be reinstalled and placed in
function again.
The operator of the mixer is responsible for third parties
within the work area.
Beware of rotating machine parts.
The mixer is only to be operated when it is completely
submerged in the medium.
Persons are not permitted to stay in the medium during
operation of the mixer.
All other rules and regulations and local codes covering
health and safety must be observed. In accordance with
product liability law, we point out that we shall not be liable
for damages caused by the mixer due to non-observance of
the instructions and guidelines set forth in the operating
instructions. The same product liability are valid for
accessories.
This machine may not be operated under conditions
wihich exceed either the threshold values stated on the
factory specification plate or any other instructions con-
tained in the operating regulations or the contractual
doumentation. All prescribed electrical connection fig-
ures as well as all installation and sevicing instructions
must be adhered to without exception.
Any use of the machine which exceeds the conditions
contained in the operating manual can result in the failure
of the machine. Non-compliance with this warning can re-
sult in personal injury and material damage.
All descriptions and instructions in these operating
regulations are based on the Standard model. These op-
erating regulations do not take into account all details and
variations in design and construction nor any possible
eventualities or events that may occur during erection, op-
eration or servicing.
These operating regulations do not take any local
safety regulations into account. The operator of this instal-
lation is responsible for ensuring that such regulations are
adhered to and that they are followed by the installation
personnel who install the mixer.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for damage to the
machine that can be attributed to mistakes made during
installation, operating errors or non-compliance with the
regulations contained in the operating instructions. No li-
ability whatsoever for any indirect consequential damage or
for natural wear and tear (seals, etc.) can be accepted by
the manufacturer nor can any warranty obligations be
derived from such events. If the machine is to be used un-
der extreme conditions (high abrasion, high viscosity, etc.),
advice must be obtained from the manufacturer in advance
in order to establish whether the materials employed in the
construction of the machine are suitable.
3. Application
This submersible mixer is ideally suited to applications in-
volving the circulation, mixing, homogenization and sus-
pending of liquids with high or low content of solid matter,
like e.g. waste water, sludge, paper mass, and chemicals.
To obtain the desired mixing effect it is very important to
choose the optimal positioning of the mixer in the tank. The
mixer may be used in rectangular or circular tanks and is to
be operated only when completely submerged in the
medium.

plications such as mixing of highly viscous media or ex-
plosive materials.
In the event of damage, please contact the nearest service
center or the manufacturer.
4. Warranty
Our warranty only covers mixers which are installed and
operated in accordance with these installation and opera-
tion instructions and accepted codes of good practice and
being used for the applications mentioned in these instruc-
tions.
