This section contains information and important notes on safe start-up and handling of the
machine.
For your safety, please read these operating instructions carefully before start-up.
This will enable you to handle the machine safely and prevent misunderstandings as
well as personal injury and damage to property. Also observe the symbols and
pictograms used on the machine as well as the safety and danger information!
13.1
Intended Use of the Machine
The machine is intended exclusively for the following activities: The cable reel serves to increase
the range of electrical appliances within the specified technical limits.

accepts no responsibility or warranty for any other use or use beyond
this and for any damage to property or injury resulting therefrom.

The machine is intended for use under the following ambient conditions:

The cable reel is only suitable for indoor use.
13.1.2
Prohibited Applications / Hazardous Misapplications

Operating the machine without adequate physical and mental aptitude.

Operating the machine without knowledge of the operating instructions.

Changes to the machine.

Operating the machine in a potentially explosive environment (machine can generate
ignition sparks during operation).

Operating the machine outside the limits specified in this manual.

Removing the safety markings attached to the machine.

Non-observance of the safety instructions and warnings as well as the assembly,
operating, maintenance and cleaning instructions contained in this operating manual.

Non-compliance with any specific and/or generally applicable accident prevention,
occupational medicine or safety regulations for the use of the cable reel.

Modify, circumvent or disable the safety devices of the machine.

Use of accessories and spare parts not intended for the cable reel.

Repair of the machine by a person other than the manufacturer or a specialist.
The improper use or disregard of the versions and instructions presented in this manual will result
in the voiding of all warranty and damage claims against Holzmann Maschinen GmbH.
13.2
Safety Devices
The machine is equipped with the following safety devices:
The cable reel is equipped with a thermal overload protection.
Live parts are protected by a housing.
A special safety device prevents the tension spring from being
ejected from the reel. (This device must not be removed or
structurally altered.)
13.3
General Safety Instructions
To avoid malfunctions, damage and health hazards when working with the machine, in addition to
