5 MAINTENANCE

Errors and defects that endanger the security of the machne and operator, have to be eli-
minated immediately.
ƒ
Machine may be repaired only by qualified persons!
ƒ
Do not use aggressive Chemicals and Solvents for cleaning the machine.
Blank surfaces shall be impregnated against corrosion e.g. with anti-rust solvent WD40).
ƒ
Clean the machine after every operation.
ƒ
Check regularily before every operation the machine for any defects
ƒ
Check if security advice plates are still in place and well readable.
ƒ
Clean the outside of the press with dry, clean and soft cloth and periodically lubricate the
hoist, wheel shaft assembly, the joints and all moving parts with a light oil in normal ser-
vice.
ƒ
DO NOT allow lubricant to heel block (36) nor frame of shop press.
ƒ
When not in use, store the press in a dry location with ram and piston fully retracted.
ƒ
When press efficiency drops, purge away air from the hydraulic system.
ƒ
Check the hydraulic oil: remove the oil filler nut (49) on the top of the reservoir, if the oil
is not adequate, fill with high quality hydraulic jack oil as necessary, then replace the oil
filler nut, purge away air from the hydraulic system.
ƒ
Do not store the machine in a room with high humidity.
