The machine corresponds to the valid EC guideline.
• The log saw is constructed as 1-man-operating stand and is only to be used in outdoor locations.
• The log saw is a portable circular saw. It is only applicable to cross cut firewood with a feeding rocker according to the technical
specifications.
• The saw is constructed solely for cross cutting of firewood with max. 1 meter length.
• Regardless of the diameter of the wood only 1 work piece is to be put on the rocker.
• Observe all safety and hazard notes on the machine and ensure they are kept complete and in a legible condition.
• The machining range and surrounding areas of the machine must be clear of interfering foreign matter to prevent accidents occurring.
• Workpieces must be completely free of foreign objects, i.e. nails or screws.
• The machine must only be used in technically perfect condition in accordance with its designated use and the instructions set out
in the operating manual, and only by safety-conscious persons who are fully aware of the risks involved in operating the machine.
Any functional disorders, especially those affecting the safety of the machine, should therefore be rectified immediately.
• The manufacturer’s safety instructions, operating instructions and maintenance instructions as well as the dimensions given in
the technical data must be observed.
• The applicable accident prevention regulations and other generally accepted safety regulations must be complied with.
• The machine may only be used, maintained, and operated by persons familiar with it and instructed in its operation and proce-
dures. Arbitrary alterations to the machine release the manufacturer from all responsibility for any resulting damages.
• The machine may only be used with original accessories and original tools made by the manufacturer.
• Any other use exceeds authorization. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damages resulting from unauthorized use; risk

• The machine may only be operated outdoors without exhaust.
4. Handle Fuel Safely
• To avoid personal injury or property damage, take extra care when handling fuel.
• Fuel is highly flammable, the vapours are explosive.
• Avoid smoking cigarettes, cigars or pipes in working area and remove all possible sources of ignition.
• Use only approved fuel containers.
• Never open the filler cap or fill in with fuel while the engine is running.
• The engine must be cooled before fuel is poured in.
• Never refuel the machine indoors.
• Never store the machine or the fuel tank near open flames or potential ignition sources.
• Never fill the fuel tank inside a vehicle, on a truck or a trailer with cover.
• Always fill up the tank on solid ground at a safe distance from the vehicle.
• Should fuel be sprayed on your clothes, take off the clothes immediately.
• Do not overfill the fuel tank.
• Close the fuel tank carefully.
• If the fuel tank must be drained, this should be done outdoors
• Never transport the saw while the engine is running.
• Never refuel the machine in confined spaces.
• Before turning on the engine you need to clean the tank and the machine from gasoline residues.
• Heated gas expands. Do not fill the fuel tank to the edge, but leave a little space so that hot gas can expand.
• The fuel cap has a ventilation slot for the discharge of gasoline vapours.
• Always use an original gas cap.
• Failure to observe the gasoline safety can cause fires and explosions; they can cause serious injuries as well as damage the
equipment and property of others.
• The filling of fuel into a running or hot engine can cause an explosion.
• Before refuelling, always switch off the engine and let it cool for a few minutes.
• Remove wood shavings and other debris from the machine. Keep the machine clean, so you can increase its performance.
• Engine, transmission and muffler will be very hot when the engine running in a matter of minutes. In any case touch these equip-
ment parts.
• Before servicing the unit, you must first turn off the engine and allow the engine and transmission to cool.
• Remember, exhaust vapours are dangerous. Never turn on the machine in a confined space.
• Dispose of used engine oil in accordance with the customary rules.
• Turn off the engine immediately if you notice unusual noises or vibrations.
• Unusual noises or vibrations are usually warnings of major problems.
