ADJUSTING THE HEDGETRIMMER
CUTER ASSEMBLY FOR DESIRED
CUTTING ANGLES
The cu ng assembly can be adjusted to 10 di
ff
erent posi ons ranging from 120 degrees to 270 degrees) from the outer tube as shown in
Figure 1. Refer to the steps on the previous page for the adjustment procedures. Always make sure the lock latch is securely locked a er each
adjustment.
ADJUSTING THE CUTTER ASSEMBLY FOR STORAGE OR TRANSPORTATION
With the engine stopped, install the cover onto
the
blade.
Using the procedures described on the previous page,
rotate the cu er assembly so it is parallel to the tube.
Make sure the latch lock and the latch release return
securely to a locking posi on. See Step 2.
Make sure the cover is in place on the cu ers before
storing or transpor ng.
SAFETY OPERATION.
Never use this machine/hedgetrimmer for any other
purposes. Never try to cut stones, metals, plas cs
or any other hard objects. Using for other purposes than
trimming hedge may damage the machine or cause
serious
injury.
Choose the best work posi on for safety against
falling
objects.
Never stand directly underneath the branch you are cu ng and be wary of falling branches. Please note that a branch may
spring back at you a er it hits the ground.
HOW TO USE HEDGETRIMMER ATTACHMENT
HORIZONTAL CUT
Cu ng Close to ground from a standing posi on
e.g low shrubs
OVERHEAD CUT
Hold the sha upright with a 90 degree blade Angle to cut an
uppe surface of a hedge.
VERTICAL CUT
Cu ng without standing directly next to hedge
e.g
fl
owerbed between operator and hedge.
HORIZONTAL CUT
Cu ng without standing directly in front of hedge
e.g reaching over a
fl
owerbed.
DO NOT TOUCH THE CUTTER BLADES WHEN THE ENGINE IS
RUNNING. THE BLADES CAN OSCILLATE EVEN IF THE ENGINE
IS IDLING.
NEVER RUN THE ENGINE WHEN ADJUSTING THE CUTTER
ASSEMBLY TO THE STORAGE POSITION.
