8.1 Basic principles
Proper and regular cleaning will ensure safe operation and
extend the life span of the appliance .
Warning! Before performing cleaning and
maintenance operations, turn the appliance off,
disconnect it from the power source and let it
cool down, so as to avoid burns and electrocution .
1 . Wait until the heating plates cool down completely! Risk
of burns!
2 . It is recommended that oil residues and crumbs be
removed with a soft cloth or a paper towel .
3 . To clean the heating plates, wipe them with a damp cloth,
then wipe them dry with a soft cloth .
4 . If any food residues cannot be easily removed, use
a wooden or plastic spatula .
5 . Wipe the housing of the appliance with a dry cloth .
Attention!
Do not clean the appliance with any chemicals, alkali, abrasive
or disinfecting agents, as they may damage the surface of the
appliance.
Do not clean the heating plates with any metal, sharp or rough
cleaning tools!
Never clean the waffle maker under running water or immerse
it in water.
