Open the package and carefully remove the appliance. Check that the product is
complete and undamaged. Ensure that the plastic parts and the power cord are
undamaged. If anything is damaged or missing, call the dealer and do not use the
product. Retain the package or dispose of it in compliance with local regulations.
6 PACKAGE CONTENTS
Warning! Risk of suffocation! For safety, keep the packing materials
(plastic bags, cardboard boxes, Styrofoam etc.) out of children’s reach.
7 OPERATION
7.1 Before use
1. Extend the power cord from the base. Place the base on a solid, flat and dry
surface.
2. Before using the product to brew tea, you need to cleanse it by boiling 2-4 fills
of water: fill the kettle with clean water to its maximum capacity, place it on
its base, switch it on, boil the water and pour it off (see section 7.4).
Caution: Unplug the appliance before filling or adding water to the kettle. If
the base gets wet, you could suffer an electric shock.
7.2 Turning the appliance on/off
Boil and pour off 2-4 fills of water before using the product to brew tea (see:
section 7.1 above).
1. Press the On/Off button on the control panel to turn the kettle on. The heater
will turn off automatically once the water boils (100°C). The water-illuminating
LEDs will turn red.
2. To heat the water to a selected temperature (50°, 70°, 80° or 90° C), press
the temperature control button repeatedly until the desired setting is
highlighted, then press the On/Off button.
50°C – Green LEDs on
70°C – Blue LEDs on
80°C – Purple LEDs on
90°C – Lime (greenish yellow) LEDs on
