7.4 Making coffee with milk
ATTENTION! Prepare a mug with milk to be frothed. The mug for milk frothing is not
included in the set.
To make cappuccino, make a coffee and add frothed milk.
1. Make an espresso as described in section
7.3 Making an espresso .
2. Press the steam button . The LED next to the button will go off. Wait for a
moment until a green LED is lit next to the button.
ATTENTION! During operation, the LED next to the button will go on and off
indicating that a constant temperature is being maintained.
3. Make sure that the steam control knob is in the OFF position.
4. Fill the mug with cold, whole milk.
Attention! Using refrigerated whole milk is recommended to obtain better-tasting
coffee. The milk should not be warm.
Attention! When choosing the size of the mug/container for frothing milk, make sure
that its diameter is no less than 70 mm ± 5 mm. Remember that the quantity of
milk will increase twofold. Make sure that the height of the mug/container for milk
is sufficient.
Warning! Never abruptly turn the steam control knob for adjusting milk frothing
intensity; otherwise, a large amount of steam will build up within a short time, which
may result in burns or in milk spilling from the container/mug.
5. Place the steam nozzle for milk frothing in the mug/container, so that its tip is
situated about 1-2 cm below the rim of the mug/container. When frothing milk,
move the mug/container upwards and downwards. Slowly turn the steam control
knob counter-clockwise. Steam will come out of the nozzle and will froth the milk.
6. When the milk is frothed to your liking, turn the steam control knob clockwise to
the limit and press the button to deactivate the milk frothing function.
Attention! It is recommended to wait about 2 minutes before using the appliance
again.
