1. Install empty portafilter in the coffee machine.
2. Place a cup/mug on the dripping tray, directly below the coffee nozzle.
3. Make sure that the steam control knob is in the OFF position.
4. Insert the power cord plug into the outlet socket (the socket must be equipped
with a protective ground pin).
5. Press the button to switch on the appliance. A red LED next to the button will
be lit.
6. Press the button to start the coffee pouring process.
As soon as water starts coming out, press the button again to stop the process.
This will guarantee that the water will be hot. When the water is heated, the green
LED next to the symbol will be lit.
7. Fill the portafilter with coffee as described in section 7.6 Filling the portafilter
with coffee . Install the portafilter in the coffee machine as described in section
7.5 Portafilter installation/removal.
8. The appliance is ready for proper coffee brewing, as described in section
7.3 Making an espresso or 7.4 Making coffee with milk .
7.3 Making an Espresso
ATTENTION! Use only fresh, cold, potable water for brewing coffee.
ATTENTION! Using freshly ground coffee is recommended. Well ground coffee
should have the consistency of salt. .
1. Follow the instructions contained in items 1 – 8 in section 7.1 Preheating.
2. Press the button to start the coffee brewing process.
3. To stop the coffee pouring process, press the button again.
ATTENTION! Do not leave the coffee machine unattended when coffee is being
poured, as the process needs to be stopped manually with the button.
4. Remove the cup or mug.
5. Remove the coffee grounds from the portafilter.
ATTENTION! The appliance will turn off automatically after ca. 25 minutes.
