1. SPIN fireplace
Fire has been attracting people for ages. However, this hot
element was essential for survival in the past and today we
enjoy its pleasant warmth, its cozy crackling and the unique and
fascinating dance of the flames. höfats loves playing with fire and
has now enlarged its product range by another accessory: SPIN
is a fascinating whirl of flames in a decorative glass cylinder,
bringing campfire atmosphere onto your balcony or terrace. As
any other höfats product – awarded with numerous design prizes
– SPIN enthuses with its first-class aesthetics and ingenious
functionality.
The impressive dance of the flames is due to bioethanol burnt
in a can. Simply place the can into the stainless steel footing
and light it. Then put on the glass cylinder made of high-quality
borosilicate glass and enjoy the luminous vortex of flames for 1.5
hours. Those who want to end this spectacle at an earlier point
of time can simply put down the annexed extinguisher onto the
glass cylinder and wait until the flames are completely extinct.
A spike with which SPIN can be easily pinched into the ground is
also available. Just pinch the spike into your lawn, and SPIN will
become the eye-catcher of any garden party and enchant your
guests. Due to its increasing element, SPIN also looks great on
the ground.
ATTENTION! Never leave children or pets unattended
near the hot fireplace. Pay special attention when
lighting, operating and cooling off the fireplace.
ATTENTION! The glass cylinder of this fireplace becomes
extremely hot and the fireplace itself must not be moved
during operation.
Indoor use of SPIN is only possible in well ventilated
rooms; although bioethanol burns without residues, it
nevertheless produces carbon dioxide and water, i.e.
the air gets more humid and is consumed more quickly.
Except for SPIN, no other fire must be operated in the
same room.
SPIN is only destined for decorative use and must not
be used for heating purposes or permanent operation.

WARNINGS
• For operating SPIN, we recommend to only use combustion gel
cans from höfats and ask you to replace them after every use.
An already used can tends to rust and is thus no longer safe.
• Always store the combustion gel cans in rooms where no open
fire exists – bioethanol is a combustible which evaporates
when open. With temperatures higher than 21° C (70° F) and
in combination with air, it forms a highly flammable, even
explosive mixture. Do not store more than 5 liters (1,3 gallons)
of highly flammable liquids in your apartment.
• Any combustible outside the combustion gel can has to be
removed prior to lighting.
• Wait until SPIN has completely cooled off before transporting
the fireplace.
• Never operate SPIN under conditions of strong air draught.
• When operating SPIN, make sure that a secure and solid stand
for the fireplace is given.
• Observe a minimum distance of 60 cm (23,6") to flammable
surfaces, objects and walls.
• There should not be any flammable objects above SPIN,
minimum distance 60 cm (23,6").
• Do not put any objects onto the device.
• Combustion gel is mixed with thickening agents and thus does
not burn completely odorless.
• Watch out for flames out of the opening of the fireplace.
• Do not modify or change the product in any kind.
• Damaged products resp. accessories must no longer be used.
• The manufacturer cannot be held liable for damages caused by
incorrect, careless or improper use.
• The manufacturer does not assume any liability for damages
caused due to operating the device; the same is true for any
claim of third parties.
• The manual is based on the regulations and provisions of
the European Union. Please also observe country-specific
regulations and laws when using SPIN abroad!
• Always observe the national and international safety, health
and work specifications.
• The immediate surroundings have to be free from highly
flammable or explosive substances.
• People under 18 years of age who are not used to handling the
device must not operate SPIN.
• Always operate SPIN carefully in good physical and mental
condition: fatigue, illness, alcohol consumption, medicaments
and the influence of drugs are irresponsible as you can no
longer use the device safely.
• Only clean the fireplace when the device has cooled off
completely.
• Do not wear clothing with long and / or loose sleeves when
lighting or operating the device.
• Keep distant electronic cables from the hot surfaces of the
fireplace and from strongly frequented areas.
• This device is not destined for operation by persons (including
children) with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities
and functions or persons with a lack of experience and /
or knowledge unless supervised by another person being
responsible for their safety or having been instructed by such a
person on how to operate the device.
