MAINTENANCE
It is advisable to carry out maintenance every 1000 hours of system operation and after every cooling season.
•
Battery : At least once a year clean condenser coils with water and detergent and later dry with air at a
pressure 600 KPa. Never clean the coil with a wire brush.
•
Outdoor fans : Remove any dust or grease accumulation from fan blades. Check if fan rotation is in correct direction.
•
Indoor fan and motor: adjust transmission belt twice during the first month of operation and, after that, check every
1000 hours. Fan and motors do not need additional lubrication.
•
Drainage system: Check if openings in the unit base for rain and defrost water are not blocked
•
Refrigeration circuit: Check for oil or refrigerant leakage, noise, miscellaneous system elements vibrations. Take
temperature and pressure readings and record them on the maintenance form.
•
Electrical circuit: Make sure that all electrical cables are properly tightened. Be sure that there are no faulty terminals,
contactors, etc. Take the measurements of the volts and amperes of each phase of every compressor and fan motor.
Verify the starting current. Check the operation of all relays, pressostats, and phase sequence relays (of scroll
compressors)
•
Air filters: Clean air filters after 4 hours of system operation and every 3 months (Or more depending on application)
Filters can be cleaned by immersing them in a solution of soap in warm water, later washed in clean water and air dried.
Before performing service or maintenance system’s operations turn off
main power switch to avoid personal injury and put lock on power switch to
avoid that any person not connected with maintenance technical can switch
on electrical supply.
Before accessing the inside of the unit through the electric box, it is
MANDATORY to unplug the electrical supply hose that MUST BE FREE of
voltage for this operation
.
