To slow the playback speed to exactly the pace you want, press PLAY and PAUSE
buttons at the same time.
Use the TRACKING buttons to minimize any visual noise bands on the screen.
After 5 minutes in slow motion playback, the VCR will stop the tape automatically to
prevent damage to the tape and the VCR.
To return to playback at a normal speed, press PLAY. To stop the tape, press STOP.
Using the Shuttle and Jog Controls on the remote control
The shuttle feature lets you control all the playback functions - play, pause, slow
motion, double speed, triple speed, and search - using one convenient dial.
The jog feature lets you control the frame by frame picture - using one convenient dial.
How to use the jog dial
Press the JOG/SHUTTLE on/off button to turn on the jog/shuttle indicator, then turn
the jog dial during playback or still play (pause) for forward or reverse frame advance.
Every time the jog dial is brought to where a slight click is felt, the picture moves one
frame.
Release your hand for still play (pause).
How to use the shuttle dial
Press the JOG/SHUTTLE on/off button to turn on the jog/shuttle indicator, then turn
the shuttle dial during playback.
Tips
Release your hand from the shuttle dial for still play.
To go back to normal play, just press the PLAY button.
If reverse slow-motion playback continues for more than one minute, the VCR will
automatically go back to stop mode.
The picture may have noise, streaking or other distortion when it changes.
If noise bars appear on the TV screen during slow/reverse slow/still mode, first set
the VCR to slow mode and then press TRACKING control button (

minimize noise bars. Now the noise bars in still mode are eliminated automatically.
After adjusting the tracking during slow mode, set the VCR to reverse slow mode and
then press TRACKING control button (

) to minimize noise bars.
