3.2 Precautions
・
Make connection and disconnection of the coaxial cable or optical cable in the state
where the power is OFF for the base on which the link module is mounted.
・
Carry out mounting / dismounting of the link module in the state where the power is
OFF for the base on which the link module is mounted.
・
Insertion / connection of transfer cable, bypass cassette, etc. should not be made
during conduction.

Precautions of Coaxial CPU link module (LINK-SH)
・
The metal part of the BNC connector of the coaxial cable is exposed. Because of the
fact that the charged voltage is low, there is no fear of electric shock at all even if
contact is made with this live metal part, there is a possibility where malfunction
occurs due to adverse effect over the transferred signal by the static electricity
charged in human bodies. Therefore, exercise care not to touch the connector during
conduction. Furthermore, the module will be destroyed if mixture with other circuits
such as 100 V AC circuit occurs.

When coaxial cables are connected to a CPU link module, the cables project to the
front side by about 70 mm from the front panel of the CPU link module. At the time
of design of the control panel, pay sufficient attention so that to door and other
components will not interfere with the cables.
・
Carry out the following instructions to meet with EMC regulation for LINK-SH
(1) Use shielded cable and connect shield to FG.
(2) Use ferrite cores to communication lines to the coaxial cables.
(3) The coaxial cable must be in the metal duct.
(4) Route the I/O lines as close as possible to grounded surfaces such as cabinet
elements, metal bars and cabinets panels.
(5) Separate from the other power and signal lines.
(6) Use a ferrite core (dimensions: 19.0
