Note
:
• Each time the DISPLAY button is pressed, the recordin g date/time of the scene on which the cursor is placed,
recordin g data of scene (VIDEO Mode, 16:9, recordin g len g th), and operation g uide will appear in sequence
(when HDD is used).
• Each time Disc Navi g ation is started with a DVD-RW (VF-mode)/DVD-R inserted, messa g e “Creatin g Thumbnail
...” will appear. After the messa g e appears, the Disc Navi g ation screen will appear.
• In the followin g cases, the Disc Navi g ation screen will appear or a messa g e will be displayed:
- HDD or disc is write-protected
- Finalised DVD-RW (VF-mode)/DVD-R/+RW
- DVD-RW (VF-mode)/DVD-R recorded on a Hitachi DVD video camera/recorder model marketed before this
DVD video camera/recorder, and not finalised
- Locked card
• Do not leave the Disc Navi g ation screen displayed on TV to which the DVD video camera/recorder is connected:

*1 Scene:
Video (movie) .......... “One scene” refers to images recorded from one press of REC button until recording is
stopped by pressing the REC button again.
Photo (still) .............. “One scene” refers to a single photo recording by pressing the PHOTO/SELECT button.
*2 Icon displayed on a photo recorded on a DVD-RAM using a Hitachi DVD video camera/recorder that can record
photos on a DVD-RAM.
This DVD video camera/recorder cannot record any photos on a DVD-RAM.
*3 The operation guide will vary depending on the operation status of DVD video camera/recorder.
*4 Appears when 13 scenes or more have been recorded.
*5 When using a disc, the icon that corresponds to the type of disc being used will appear. “ ” will appear for
card.
