(1) Receive any NTSC or PAL signal. (RF or VIDEO)
(2) Turn on.
(3) Push the “SERVICE ONLY” switch on the
CONVER/FOCUS P.W.B. then digital
convergence is set to the adjustment mode.

(4) Phase Adjustment
Press the [ REVEAL] key on R/C to output the
green cross-hatch pattern.
Press the [CH i/ii ] key to appear the phase
DATA on screen.
PAL 100i mode PAL 50p mode NTSC 60p mode
PHASE MODE: 1 PHASE MODE: 5 PHASE MODE: 6
PH-H D5 PH-H D4 PH-H D2
PH-V 0A PH-V 14 PH-V 05

If phase data is not same as above,
change the DATA by using the
following R/C key.
Press [4] or [6] key to adjust the PH H
Press [2] or [5] key to adjust the PH V
Press [ ] or [ ] key to adjust the CR-H
Press [
] or [ ] key to adjust the CR-V
Press the [CH i/ii ] key to exit phase DATA mode.
Press the [ REVEAL] key to exit phase mode.
Press [ INDEX] key on R/C 2 times to write the data
into Rom.
(5) Fine adj.
Adjustment points are 117 points.
(H : 13 points x V : 9 points)
ADJ. point can be moved using
Fine adj. [2], [4], [5], [6] keys.
For better result, adjust convergence to out
side from center of the screen.
(6) Red convergence adj.
Press [0] key on R/C. Just then red
convergence mode is set.
Adjust each red lines to green
cross-hatch line, using [ ], [ ],
[ ], [ ] (cursor) key.
(7) Blue convergence adj.
Press [CH up] key on R/C. Just then
Adjustment point blue convergence
mode is set.
(8) Green convergence adj.
Press [CH down] key on R/C. Just then
green convergence mode is set.
(9) Calculation *
When convergence adjustment is
finished,
Press [CH] key on R/C. then the
calculation mode starts.
The operation time is about for 2
seconds and no picture appears during
this operation.
This operation fills convergence data
between each adjustment points.
If you find mis-convergence more than
1mm, adjust convergence again.
(10) Write data to ROM
Press [ INDEX] key on R/C.
first press: “ROM WRITE?” is
displayed for alarm. 2nd press: Data
starts to write to ROM, it takes about
10 seconds and no picture appears
during this operation.
When green dot pattern appears,
writing operation is OK.
If writing operation is OK, press any
key, to return to the adjustment mode.
When red dot pattern appears, writing
operation is NG.
If writing operation is NG, replace
digital convergence-unit and readjust.
Push the “SERVICE ONLY” switch
again to finish the adjustment.
* Above (9) Calculation process by pressing
[CH] key is not necessary, actually,
Because (10) ROM WRITE process includes
calculation process, too.
ROM WRITE process : Calculation process
by pressing [ INDEX] key : Writing data to ROM 2 times.
(11) The digital convergence has 3 modes
NTSC(60p), PAL(50p) and PAL (100i).
Change another mode then adjust again
(1) ~ (10).

(1) [CH i/ii ] button----Crosshatch/Video mode
Press [CH i/ii ] 5 times to display external
signal.
Press [CH
i/ii ] 5 times again to return to DCU
internal cross-hatch.
