d)
Store the unit in a dry and cool place protected from moisture and direct
sunlight.
e)
Do not spray the unit with a stream of water or immerse it in water.
f)
Make sure that no water enters through the vents or the muffler tip.
g)
Perform regular inspections of the unit checking technical fitness and any
damages.
h)
Do not keep fuel in the unit for more than one month. If it is no longer in use,
empty it from the carburetor as well. As an alternative, a stabilizer can be
added to the fuel (follow the additive manufacturer's instructions), but do not
keep fuel in the machine longer than the stabilizer manufacturer recommends!
i)
Over time, as a result of long and/or intensive use, the paint may peel off some
metal parts of the machine. In order to protect such areas against corrosion, a
special anti-corrosion paint can be used, after cleaning and degreasing.
j)
On models with power steering remove the drive wheels once a season and
clean the transmission gears.
k)
For transport, the handle can be partially folded (by loosening the fastenings
of its upper part - 3) and emptying the fuel tank is recommended.
l)
Regularly check the sharpness of the blade, and after sharpening its balance.
m)
Change motor oil every 50 operating hours (shorten this interval accordingly
when working in dusty conditions).
n)
Clean the sponge element of the air filter every 25 operating hours under
normal conditions (in dusty, dirty conditions, clean it more often).
