HDD Management
9.1
Initializing HDD
Purpose:
A newly installed hard disk drive (HDD) must be initialized before it can be used with your encoder.
Steps
:
1.
Go to
Configuration > Storage > Storage Management > HDD Management
.

Check the HDD information such as the capacity, free space, status, type, property, etc.
3.
Select HDD to be initialized.
4.
Click
Format
to initialize it.

Confirm Initialization
5.
Click
OK
to start initialization.
After the HDD has been initialized, the status of the HDD will change from
Uninitialized
to
Normal
.
Initializing the HDD will erase all data on it.
