SIGNAL OUTPUTS TO CONNECT ADDITIONAL AMPLIFIERS
The input signal on the LINE INPUT jacks (Fig. 1,12) will be routed as mono mix to the output jacks
LINE OUT (Fig. 1, 13). Hence, the LINE OUT jacks allows the connection of an additional mono
subwoofer amplifier.
With the selector (INPUT MODE, Fig.1, 4) you are able to set, if the amplifier should run with 2 x stereo
RCA signal inputs (4CH) or with only a stereo RCA signal input (2CH), if your headunit is only equipped
with 1 pair RCA signal outputs.
INPUT MODE SELECTOR
OPERATING ELEMENTS
Turn the input level control (INPUT LEVEL, Fig. 1, 10 or 1, 11) on the amplifier to the MIN. position.
Turn then the volume control of the headunit to 80% - 90% of its maximum volume. Now turn slowly
the input level control on the amplifier (INPUT LEVEL, Fig. 1, 10 or 1, 11) in a clockwise direction until
you hear some distortion, then turn back slightly until the distortion is not audible anymore.
INPUT SENSITIVITY CH1/2 & CH3/4
If CH3/4 of the amplifier is used to drive a subwoofer, set the switch (X-OVER CH3/4, Fig. 1, 3) to
"LP". Set the desired cross-over frequency by using the controller (LOW PASS CH3/4, Fig. 1, 5). Hence,
only the frequencies below the chosen cross-over frequency will be amplified and the subwoofer plays
more accurate and efficient. A good point to start is at 125 Hz.
VARIABLE LOWPASS FILTER CH3/4
If CH3/4 of the amplifier is used for mid-range/tweeter loudspeakers, set the switch (X-OVER 3/4,
Fig. 1,3) to "HP". Set the desired cross-over frequency on the controller (HI PASS CH3/4, Fig.1, 9).
Hence, only the frequencies above the chosen cross-over frequency will be amplified. This effectively
minimizes distortions and overloads at lower frequencies. A good point to start is at 125 Hz.
For bigger loudspeakers (>20 cm) set the switch (X-OVER CH3/4, Fig. 1,3) to ”FULL”. In this configuration
the controller (HI PASS CH3/4, Fig.1, 9) is without function.
VARIABLE HIGHPASS FILTER CH3/4
By using the controller (BASS BOOST, Fig.1, 7) you are able to increase the bass level. The range is
between 0 dB and 12dB.
Note:
Use the bass boost wisely. A too high bass boost could permanently damage the speakers.
VARIABLE BASS BOOST CH3/4 (only in LP Mode)
If CH1/2 of the amplifier is used together with CH3/4 to operate two subwoofers, set the switch (X-
OVER CH1/2, Fig. 1, 6) to "DUPE". Hence, all the crossover settings and the audio signal from CH 3/4
will be routed to CH1/2. All controllers of CH1/2 are without function.
DUPE MODE
If CH1/2 of the amplifier is used for mid-range/tweeter loudspeakers, set the switch (X-OVER CH1/2,
Fig. 1,6) to "HP". Set the desired cross-over frequency on the controller (HI PASS CH1/2, Fig.1, 8).
Hence, only the frequencies above the chosen cross-over frequency will be amplified. This effectively
minimizes distortions and overloads at lower frequencies. A good point to start is at 125 Hz.
For bigger loudspeakers (>20 cm) set the switch (X-OVER CH1/2, Fig.1, 6) to ”FULL”. In this configuration
the controller (HI PASS CH1/2, Fig.1, 8) is without function.
